ABOUT US
Excel Institute of Training and Development is a
charitable organization based in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala State,
India. The agency started its activities as Excel Institute of Training and
development in 2000 focusing on Psychological trainings for the individuals.
The agency has its State office at Pathanamthitta.
Excel Institute of Training and Development, has a
training team having rich experience in conducting training programmes for
various groups like IT professionals, Chartered Accountants, medical
practitioners, engineers, lawyers and other executives and Training of Trainers
(TOT) in family counselling, grief counselling, stress management, emotional
health, and Geriatrics. The agency also has its main services with children’s
group, women’s groups, farmers’ groups, counselling centre, industrial social
work and counselling services, soft skill development workshops, and small
saving scheme and so on. Apart from these the agency used to organise other
community development programmes like medical camps, Personality development
camps, Summer camps for children, life skill education, family life education
for youngsters and so on

PSYCHO-SPIRITUAL HEALING
This special training takes the
participants into an indepth personal awareness, integration and
healing through group and personal processing, meditative therapy
and counselling leading to the experience of God in total
silence.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
The main aim of this programme
is to enhance the quality of life of women through increased knowledge and
skills and to unite women for their economic, social, political and cultural
empowerment. This programme is designed to all women: -trying to balance a
career, motherhood and relationships. -wanting to be glamorous -wishing for an
extreme make over.
PRE-MARITAL COUNSELLING
This training will help the
couples to prepare for the marriage, with the understanding of psychological
and emotional needs with special focus on communication, parenting, sexuality
and management in family life.
FAMILY THERAPY
The workshop is intended
to equip the person with the skills and techniques of family Counselling.
Various models of family system therapy enable the trainee to diagnose and
understand the methods of remediation which enrich the capacity of the trainee
to deal with any difficult family problem situation.
TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS(TA)
The aim of this training is to
give the participants a clear understanding of the language of Transactional
Analysis- Clarity of terms and definitions, Philosophical assumptions,
Picturing personality, Functional Analysis, Ego state questionnaire, Structural
Pathology – contamination, Exclusion, Strokes, Time Structuring, Games, Life
positions, Transactions, Scripts and Injunctions This course will also
give basic knowledge of T.A. and its application in organization, personal and
social life.
RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY
This workshop is intended to
help people handle their own unhealthy emotions. A variety of
training methods such as lectures, group exercies, discussions and
demonstrations are used in the workshop with a view to helping solve daily
problems. In this workshop, the basic theory & practice of REBT will be
described.
COUNSELLING BASIC SKILLS
This course is for those
wanting to learn counselling skills for the first time or to improve and
develop existing skills. This practical training workshop cover attending-involving, responding- exploration, personalization-
understanding, initiating- acting. Which also deals with Rogers' core
conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.
